Do you want to ride a good Icelandic horse in Iceland?

At Finnsstaðir there is a high-quality horse rental that is suitable for both experienced riders and beginners.

Our specialty is that all our horses have a pure Tölt, which is a type of gait that the Icelandic horse is famous for. Because our horses are highly tamed and comfortable, all our guests can experience tölt.

We have great respect for our horses and make sure they are healthy, happy and not tired.

We also have great respect for our guests and are grateful to them for choosing to come to Finnsstaðir.

We are aware that those who come to us have often put in a lot of effort to get to Iceland and this is the only opportunity most people get to experience riding an Icelandic horse. That's why we do our best to make everyone's experience great.

At Finnsstaðir we place great emphasis on quality and good experience for our guests, horses and staff. Our horses are well trained, healthy and happy, they suit for beginners and experienced riders.

What you can find at Finnsstaðir!

  • Finnsstadir Petting Zoo

    Finnsstadir Petting Zoo houses sheep and lambs, cows and calves, pigs and piglets, ducks and ducklings, horses, hens and roosters and is open from 10 am to 5 pm every day, from 1 May to 30 September.

  • Stable visit without a guide

    Meet our animals, feed them and give them treats.

    Coffee, hot chocolate and juice for everybody.

    Open all day, every day, from 10 - 17.

    1,200 kr Adult.
    800 kr for kids.

  • Guesthouse

    6 person house with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Outside a patio with hot tub, garden furniture and barbecue. More here.

  • Football golf!

    9 hole course.

    Price:

    1-2 persons: 1,200kr per person

    3-4 persons: 1,000kr per person.

    6 or more: 800kr per person.
